We are inviting our incoming kindergarten students for the 2025-2026 school year to come in for a kindergarten screening. We are looking forward to meeting with your child and completing a quick screening with them. The kindergarten screening will check the students on their letters, letters sounds, numbers and counting skills. The teacher that completes your child's screening is not necessarily the teacher that they will have in the fall. We have created sign up slots to try and offer a different variety of times and different staff members might be helping out. The date for the screening will be on Tuesday, May 27th. The screening will take less than 30 minutes. We will meet you in the front lobby of the school and take your child to a classroom to complete the screening. You are welcome to wait in the front lobby or outside for the screening to be finished. Please remember this is not a test or for a score. This screening is to see what your child is able to do and willing to show and tell us. We know that the students will grow and learn a lot over the summer. This just gives us a little knowledge about what your child knows so far and to chat with them. If you are not able to bring your child to Kipps on this day we understand. Your child will complete their kindergarten screening at the beginning of kindergarten when school starts if they cannot come on May 27th due to other obligations.
